1 day of eating through Nepal's oldest and the most loved food — Mo:Mo and dal bhat, a Nepali staple of every household with its own secret family recipes shared between sisters. Your cooking guide learned these recipes from the communities she built relationships with during her years as a guide. This is not a generic cooking class — it is access to kitchens and recipes that outsiders never see, because the trust was earned over years.

What to Expect

Travelers learning to make traditional Nepali momos in a SASANE cooking class in Nepal

Ancient flavours

Mo:Mo is Nepal's most complex — over 200 distinct varieties developed across 1,500 years of trade, festival, and family tradition. Each dish we prepare tells a story: chatamari was street food for traders, yomari is offered to the harvest goddess, sel roti is fried for festivals.

Hands-on cooking

Roll up your sleeves in our kitchen. SASANE Sister will teach techniques passed through 4+ generations — the exact pressure for Mo:Mo folding, the timing for steaming and the spice ratios no cookbook has recorded.
